Malema condemns recent killing of women in Ekurhuleni

The killing of women took the center stage at the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)’s Western Cape election manifesto launch in Delft, Cape Town.
EFF leader Julius Malema has condemned the recent killing of women in Ekurhuleni, describing it as a declaration of war.
Malema called on communities to help police find those responsible for the killings, saying perpetrators must face the full might of the law.
“How do you kill 10 women in one week? That is a declaration of war. Men, stop killing women. Teach your children to embrace their sisters. Teach your children to know that these are our sisters. Teach your children to love their mothers. When they love their mothers, they will never hate on any woman.”
“The killing of women is barbaric and it’s something that we must all condemn. Go out, help the police to find the perpetrators who killed those who live in Kempton Park. We want them in prison and we don’t want bail for them and we want them to rot in jail. They don’t belong to society,” adds Malema.
Malema also turned his attention to the drug trade in Cape Town.
He says if the EFF takes control of the metro, it will target drug dealers and what he calls the drug lords operating in communities.
“Put us in charge in the metro and see what’s going to happen. We are going to deal with all these things. Drug lords are here. We will finish them off because we know who’s selling the drugs here in Cape Town. We know every house that is selling drugs to our children here in Cape Town. Give us power. We’re going to fall into that house,” explains Malema.
